Data Deletion
This page covers your Meta connection. When you connect a Meta account (Facebook and Instagram) to Trackhound, we access and store a limited set of data on your behalf. Below is what we hold and how to have it deleted. The methods described here are available now.
What we hold
- A delegated Meta access token, stored encrypted in AWS Secrets Manager. Our database holds only a reference to it, never the token itself.
- Organic engagement metadata — reach, like and comment counts, and posting times. We never store the post or caption text.
- Advertising and conversion analytics — campaign performance figures and conversion counts. Order identifiers are hashed; customer email addresses and phone numbers are never stored in plain text.
How to request deletion
- Disconnect in-app. Removing the Meta integration from your Trackhound settings immediately deletes the stored access token and revokes our access to your Meta account.
- Full erasure. Email us from your account address requesting deletion and we will remove your Meta connection record and all Meta-sourced data tied to your organisation.
What gets removed
- The access token — both the stored secret and its database reference.
- Your Meta connection record.
- Meta-sourced records tied to your projects and organisation.
What we retain
Aggregate analytics derived from Meta data are kept only as anonymised, insert-only records containing hashed identifiers — no Facebook or Instagram profile data, and no raw email or phone number.
Timing
Disconnecting takes effect immediately. Full-erasure requests are actioned within 30 days.
